A restaurant is judged in the first ten seconds and a hotel is judged by guests who are still staying there while you work. Hospitality fit-out is finish-critical and reputation-critical at the same time.
In hospitality the opening date is fixed before the contract is signed — the bookings are taken, the staff are hired and the marketing is out. The programme has no float, and the finish still has to survive commercial use from the first day.
The finish tolerance and the fixed opening date. Guests read a restaurant or a lobby in seconds, so joinery, stone and decorative finishes carry the whole impression. And the date cannot move — the bookings, the staff and the marketing are already committed before the contract starts.
Yes. Work in an operating hotel is phased and hoarded, with access, deliveries and waste routed away from guest circulation, and noisy activities restricted to agreed windows. The method statement is agreed with the hotel's operations team before mobilisation.

Our own team. Bars, service counters, banquette frames, panelling and display units are drawn, cut, assembled and installed by MA Group, which is why a late design change becomes a site instruction rather than a re-tender with a third-party supplier.
Completed areas are sealed, protected and locked down as they finish, with a controlled snag and touch-up sequence immediately before handover. On a fixed opening date the risk is not finishing late — it is damaging finished work while completing the areas around it.
